Перед вами еще один уникальный экспонат — пожелтевшая от времени страница газеты «Тюменский геолог» от 16 ноября 1983 года. А ведь ещё каких-то сорок лет назад такие газеты с нетерпением ждали тысячи людей! Почему? Всё просто: это был не просто лист бумаги с буквами — это была настоящая летопись жизни целого поколения геологов и нефтяников, работавших в Тюменской области.
Не только экономика страны во временна нефтянного освоения Сибири была переориентирована на этот регион – это событие дало рождение новой отрасли в прессе, ориентированной только на успехи нашего нефтяного (и газового) комплекса. Началась трудная и героическая эпопея освоения Севера. Летопись этой эпопеи создана сотнями газет, телевидением и радио страны, Тюменской области. Газета «Тюменский геолог» появилась в период активных геологоразведочных открытий и динамичного развития отрасли. Первоначально она задумывалась как инструмент, который объединит коллектив, выполняя одновременно организаторские, агитационные и пропагандистские функции. Формально издание являлось печатным органом Геологического управления и территориального комитета профсоюза.
Еще в первые годы были заложены основные принципы и подходы, которые сегодня можно было бы назвать форматом издания. Газета регулярно публиковала актуальные репортажи с «передовой»: подробную хронику работы буровых бригад, полевых экспедиций и других подразделений. Также важной частью публикаций являлись «сводки с фронтов» — оперативные таблицы, отражающие показатели по бурению, испытаниям скважин, геофизическим исследованиям и возведению вышек.
Особенностью газеты было то, что её авторами становились сами участники геологоразведочных работ: мастера, инженеры, специалисты и руководители различных предприятий и служб главного управления. На протяжении всего периода существования издания сотрудники производственных отделов активно участвовали в его наполнении, считая своим профессиональным долгом своевременно информировать редакцию и читателей о достижениях и насущных вопросах находящихся в их ведении полевых подразделений. Редакция регулярно получала письма и радиограммы с северных участков работ, а в некоторых случаях геологи не жалели средств даже на международные телефонные звонки, лишь бы оперативно передать необходимую информацию.
Сегодняшний номер прямиком из ноября 1983 года, данный предмет был передан в дар музею от Лопушковой Валентины Павловны в 2007 году. У Валентины Павловны почти полвека трудового стажа в «Мегионнефтегазгеологии», 30 лет она отработала в активе профсоюза: сначала казначеем в профкоме МНРЭ, затем бухгалтером в групкоме профсоюза при объединении «Мегионнефтегазгеология».
Первое, что бросается в глаза в этом выпуске — заметка о высокой награде, вручённой одному из работников геологоразведки. Понять советскую эпоху без её героев труда просто невозможно. Представьте — малая часть нефтяников и геологов трудятся в суровых сибирских условиях, где зимой температура опускается до минус пятидесяти, а летом — бесконечная мошкара и комары. И вот, за самоотверженный труд им и прилагались такие небольшие почести. Подобных людей знали по именам, их фотографии публиковали в газетах, ими гордились.
Если вы внимательно рассмотрите страницу, то увидите таблицу с сухими цифрами и названиями предприятий. Что это такое? Это социалистическое соревнование — очень популярная в советские годы форма конкуренции между предприятиями. Мы уже рассказывали о них, по сути соревновались не за прибыль или популярность, а за эффективность, производительность и рациональное использование ресурсов. Каждый месяц работникам и их коллегам нужно не просто выполнить план, а сделать это лучше соседнего коллектива или предприятия. И результаты этой борьбы публиковали в газетах, чтобы каждый мог узнать, кто впереди.
Ещё одна заметка в газете посвящена традициям. Может звучать скучно, но на самом деле это было очень важно. В те времена коллективы формировались на долгие годы, многие работали на одном месте десятилетиями. Молодые специалисты приходили и учились у ветеранов, перенимая опыт и создавая свои традиции. В советское время профессия практически становилась судьбой, поэтому уважение к старшим, наставничество, гордость за общий результат — эти вещи были не просто словами, а частью жизни.
Центральная статья выпуска носит название «Трудный путь к успеху». Это яркий пример того, как люди делились личными историями, переживаниями и профессиональными вызовами. Работники писали в газету о том, как нелегко порой давались победы, какие трудности приходилось преодолевать, какие чувства испытывали после очередного успеха. Несмотря на сложность работы, в таких рассказах всегда была надежда и вера в то, что упорный труд приносит результаты и меняет жизнь к лучшему.
Газета «Тюменский геолог» была настоящим профессиональным изданием для работников нефтегазовой отрасли. А в советское время Западная Сибирь, и особенно Тюменская область, была центром нефтяной и газовой промышленности всей огромной страны. Геологи, буровики, нефтяники — все они были героями эпохи, совершали открытия, трудились в экстремальных условиях и чувствовали себя настоящими первопроходцами. Издание писало о людях, их достижениях и трудностях, публиковало репортажи с месторождений, рассказывало о новых открытиях и, конечно, подводило итоги соцсоревнований.
С контекста современного читателя, которому не чуждо информационное перенасыщение, будет странно видеть с каким успехом выходили такие небольшие локальные издания о жизнях обычных трудящихся. Но, как нам кажется, именно такие газеты, как «Тюменский геолог», создавали атмосферу эпохи, объединяли людей вокруг общих целей и вдохновляли на подвиги в повседневной жизни.

In front of you is another unique exhibit - a page of the Tyumensky Geologist newspaper dated November 16, 1983, yellowed from time. But some forty years ago thousands of people were eagerly waiting for such newspapers! Why? It's simple: it was not just a sheet of paper with letters - it was a real chronicle of life of a whole generation of geologists and oilmen working in the Tyumen Region.
Not only the country's economy was reoriented to this region during the oil development of Siberia - this event gave birth to a new branch of the press, focused only on the successes of our oil (and gas) complex. The difficult and heroic epic of development of the North began. The chronicle of this epic was created by hundreds of newspapers, television and radio of the country and the Tyumen Oblast. The Tyumen Geologist newspaper appeared in the period of active geological exploration discoveries and dynamic development of the industry. Initially it was conceived as a tool that would unite the team, performing at the same time organizational, agitation and propaganda functions. Formally, the publication was a printed organ of the Geological Department and the territorial trade union committee.
Back in the early years, the basic principles and approaches that today could be called the format of the publication were laid down. The newspaper regularly published topical reports from the “front line”: detailed chronicles of the work of drilling crews, field expeditions and other units. Also an important part of the publications were “reports from the front lines” - operational tables reflecting indicators of drilling, well testing, geophysical surveys and tower construction.
The peculiarity of the newspaper was that its authors were the participants of geological exploration works themselves: foremen, engineers, specialists and managers of various enterprises and services of the main department. Throughout the entire period of the publication's existence, employees of production departments actively participated in its content, considering it their professional duty to timely inform the editorial office and readers about the achievements and pressing issues of the field divisions under their responsibility. The editorial staff regularly received letters and radiograms from the northern areas of work, and in some cases geologists spared no expense even for international phone calls, just to promptly transmit the necessary information.
Today's issue is straight from November 1983, this item was donated to the museum by Valentina Pavlovna Lopushkova in 2007. Valentina Pavlovna has almost half a century of labor experience in “Megionneftegazgeologia”, 30 years she has worked in the trade union activists: first as a treasurer in the trade union committee of MNRE, then as an accountant in the trade union group committee of “Megionneftegazgeologia” association.
The first thing that catches the eye in this issue is a note about a high award given to one of the geological exploration workers. It is simply impossible to understand the Soviet era without its labor heroes. Imagine - a small part of oilmen and geologists work in harsh Siberian conditions, where in winter the temperature drops to minus fifty, and in summer - endless midges and mosquitoes. And so, for their selfless labor they were given such small honors. Such people were known by name, their photos were published in newspapers, they were proud of them.
If you look carefully at the page, you will see a table with dry numbers and names of enterprises. What is this? This is a socialist competition - a very popular form of competition between enterprises in the Soviet years. We have already told you about them, in fact, they competed not for profit or popularity, but for efficiency, productivity and rational use of resources. Every month, workers and their colleagues need not just to fulfill the plan, but to do it better than a neighboring team or enterprise. And the results of this struggle were published in newspapers so that everyone could find out who was ahead.
Another article in the newspaper is devoted to traditions. It may sound boring, but in fact it was very important. In those times, teams were formed for many years, many people worked at the same place for decades. Young specialists came and learned from veterans, adopting experience and creating their own traditions. In Soviet times, a profession practically became a destiny, so respect for elders, mentoring, pride for the common result - these things were not just words, but part of life.
The central article of the issue is called “A Hard Way to Success”. It is a prime example of people sharing personal stories, experiences and professional challenges. Employees wrote to the newspaper about how hard it was sometimes to win, what difficulties they had to overcome, what feelings they had after their success. Despite the complexity of the work, such stories always contained hope and faith that hard work brings results and changes life for the better.
The Tyumensky Geologist newspaper was a real professional publication for oil and gas industry workers. And in Soviet times Western Siberia, and especially the Tyumen Region, was the center of the oil and gas industry of the entire huge country. Geologists, drillers, oilmen - all of them were heroes of the epoch, made discoveries, worked in extreme conditions and felt themselves real pioneers. The publication wrote about people, their achievements and difficulties, published reports from the fields, told about new discoveries and, of course, summarized the results of socialist competitions.
From the context of a modern reader, who is no stranger to information oversaturation, it would be strange to see the success of such small local publications about the lives of ordinary workers. But, as we believe, it was newspapers like Tyumensky Geologist that created the atmosphere of the era, united people around common goals and inspired them to accomplish feats in everyday life.
